“Today, our community suffers another life lost to COVID-19. While there is nothing I can say that will make this loss easier for her family and friends, there are things we all can do to stop the spread of this virus and save lives. Please continue to follow CDC guidelines and wear a face covering when in public, keep 6 feet of distance between yourself and others, stay home if you are feeling ill, and practice proper hygiene,” said Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell.

The update comes after the county announced that it will be reopening its online testing portal for residents.

Originally, Willaimson County temporarily removed the online testing portal from its website on May 20 due to a backlog of testing requests. According to the county, those tests have been scheduled and Family Emergency Room is once again ready to accommodate new appointments.

Concerning testing, the county says priority will be given to those who are showing symptoms. However, those who are asymptotic but have been exposed to COVID-19 can still request a test but must wait until a testing time is available.
