Austin's oldest race, the Cap10K, celebrated its 39th run on April 10.
Runners and walkers gathered for the race that started at the Congress Avenue Bridge, stretching over Lady Bird Lake.
Live music was played while participants went through downtown and around the State Capitol.
Many of those who ran the race said that it not only brings people together but it also helps some find their inner strengths.
Some of the money raised at the Cap10K will be used for the Trail Foundation to help maintain and beautify walking trails in Austin.
