CASA of Travis County looking for more volunteers

May is National Foster Care Month and across Travis County there are volunteers who dedicate their time to advocate for children who have been abused or neglected. The kids end up in foster care as a result of their parent's actions or lack thereof. CASA works to Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, works to speak up for a child's best interest in court and at school. The child welfare system is over-burdened and several high profile cases in Central Texas highlight that.
