Petition to eliminate changes to homeless camping ordinance
Opponents of the recent homeless camping ordinance go before Austin City Council to present a petition to get rid of the changes that went into effect last month. Back in June, city council decided police can no longer ticket or arrest someone for camping, sitting or lying down in a public space unless their behavior is dangerous. So far the petition has more than 22,000 signatures. Travis County GOP Chairman Matt Mackowiak has more.
