Remember The Armadillo: Austin museum celebrates 50th anniversary of Armadillo World HQ
In just 10 years, between 1970 and 1980, an old National Guard armory turned music venue on Barton Springs Road changed the face of the Austin music scene forever. This year marks 50 years since the opening of the Armadillo World Headquarters. You can learn more about the Armadillo at a new exhibit at the Austin Museum of Popular Culture. The museum?s Leeah Mechling and Freddie Krc joined Good Day Austin?s Casey Claiborne this weekend to talk about the ?dillo and the museum.
