Could Texas try and annex counties from New Mexico?

Next week, Texas lawmakers return to Austin and will start hearings on a long list of issues for the 2027 session. The committee agendas include what may be a reboot of the battle over hemp products and if Texas can reclaim territory that is now part of New Mexico.
