Rules and Regulations
 

Who Can Enter

  1. Entrants must be legal Texas residents who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry, reside in Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gillespie, Hays, Lee, Llano, Mason, Travis, or Williamson County, and have lawful access to the method(s) of entry set forth in these rules. 
  2. Employees of NW Communications of Austin, Inc., owner of television station KTBC, ("Sponsor"), FOX Broadcasting, Cayman Airways, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and step-children.  The term "household members" refers to people who share the same residence at least three (3) months out of the year. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Sweepstakes Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
  3. Winner and selected guest must be able to travel to the Cayman Islands between May 24, 2026 - August 16, 2026. Flights to and from the Caymen islands are only available on Sundays. Flight must be booked 4 weeks from departure date. Reservations may not be confirmed for blackout dates during the travel period, including public holidays in the Cayman Islands and USA, specifically June 28 from AUS and July 5, 2026 from GCM. Seats for this prize may not be available on every flight so alternate dates may be needed. In the event of flight irregularities, passengers will be re-routed only via the services of Cayman Airways. 

How To Enter

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.  Only one entry per person, regardless of how many email addresses a person may have or use. Sweepstakes begins Monday, April 27, 2026 at 6:00 a.m., local time and continues until 11:59 a.m. local time, on Friday, May 8, 2026. (the "Sweepstakes Period".) The Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes. An individual, immediate family, and/or household may win only one (1) time during this Sweepstakes. 
  2. To enter go to www.fox7austin.com/contests  from at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026 through 11:59 a.m. on Friday May 8, 2026, and click on the link to "Cayman Islands Flyaway" sweepstakes and follow all instructions to fully and completely complete the online entry. Only one entry per person, regardless of how many email addresses a person may have or use. Late, incomplete and/or inaccurate entries will be deemed not entered for purposes of this Sweepstakes.  Entries must be received no later than 11:59 a.m. on May 8, 2026.    
  3. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winners or other giveaway information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever.  Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete.  All entry materials may be maintained as part of KTBC’s giveaway records.  CAUTION:  ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
  4. On May 8, 2026, at or around 12:30 p.m. local time, one (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries received. The winner will be notified by phone on or after 2:00 p.m. on May 8,2026. The Winner must continue to comply with these Contest Rules, in order to be awarded the prize. 


The Prize(s)

  1. The winner will receive two round trip airfare tickets to be used between May 24, 2026 - August 16, 2026. Included for the flight are: one checked bag (55 pounds and under), one carry-on bag and one personal item in the cabin (conditions apply), one meal per person in economy, a Seven Fathoms Rum Punch inflight drink for those 18 and over, free streaming inflight entertainment, and free standard seat selection. The flights must be book and completed by August 16, 2026. (Estimated Retail Value of Prize: One Thousand one hundred sixty two dollars - $1,162.00). Prize provided by Cayman Airways. Should winner be unable to use the tickets for any reason, no substitution prize will be provided. Should winner select to travel without another person, the difference in value will not be awarded.  Tickets are non-transferable. All persons traveling on the trip must be 21 years of age or over, unless travelers under 21 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of each minor. All travel fees and taxes are included – except for baggage. The winner(s) is responsible for all travel-related expenses not expressly stated in the prize description, including, without limitation, parking fees, meals, beverages, gratuities, ground transportation, taxes and surcharges. 
  2. The winner will be notified by phone on or about 2:00pm on May 8, 2026. The winner must respond to prize notification within 24 hours, and the winner will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize in the manner and within the time period communicated by Sponsor or they will be forfeit the prize, be disqualified, and unable to claim the prize.  If the winner cannot be reached, does not respond to prize notification within the timeline given by the Station, and/or does not return the signed and completed Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize within the designated time period, Sponsor may select an alternate winner by random drawing if, in Sponsor’s reasonable discretion, if time permits.  
  3. Prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner.  The winner cannot assign or transfer prize.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
  4. The winner is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
  5. Only one (1) prize will be awarded per household.  Individuals are eligible to win only one prize in a giveaway sponsored by KTBC within 30 days, regardless of the number of giveaways entered. A winner who does not return the Certification of Eligibility and Release in time is still treated as winners for purposes of this rule and therefore will be ineligible to win another giveaway for 30 days. 


Odds of Winning Miscellaneous

  1. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received.
  2. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for broadcast, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation.
  3. These giveaway rules are available at www.fox7austin.com/contests, and Monday through Friday during normal business hours KTBC, 119 East 10th, Austin, TX 78701, through August 31, 2026.
  4. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope no later than one year following the end of the entry period, to: KTBC, 119 East 10th, Austin, TX 78701.
  5. This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules.  Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in the announcement of the prize.  In the event of a dispute over who submitted a particular entry, Sponsor will determine the entrant’s identity or select an alternate winner, in its sole discretion.
  6. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to release Sponsor, any prize provider, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (b) to Sponsor’s Terms of Use located at https://www.foxlocal.com/terms-of-use/index.html and Privacy Policy located at https://www.fox.com/privacy-policy.
