The recipe for tamale casserole is as follows:
1 packages H-E-B Chef Prepared tamales, any flavor works!
1 jar Cookwell & Company Green Chile Stew
1-1 1/2 cups shredded H-E-B Mexican Blend Cheese
sour cream and cilantro for garnish
* Remove the tamales from their husks.
* In a 9x13 baking dish spread a thin layer of the Green Chile Stew. lay the tamales on the bottom of the dish in a single layer. Pour the remaining Green Chile Stew over the top. Evenly sprinkle the cheese over the top.
* Cover with foil and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving and garnish with sour cream and cilantro.
