Large amount of money taken from cashier at Circle K store; police search for suspect

The Austin Police Department is looking for a man who took a large amount of cash from a store clerk at a Circle K in South Austin on November 26.

The incident happened at around 9:03 a.m. at the Circle K store at 1601 E. Saint Elmo Road.

APD says the suspect entered the store and waited until there were no other customers around. 

The suspect then approached the cashier and asked them to break a larger bill.

Once the cashier opened the register, the suspect took the money out of the cashier's hand, taking a large amount of money, and fled the store.

The suspect is described by police as:

  • Black male
  • 30 to 49 years of age
  • Approximately 6’0" tall
  • Between 180 to 200lbs.
  • Goatee facial hairTattoos on neck and both arms (sleeve)
  • He was last seen wearing a black shirt (Levi’s Logo), black pants, black/white shoes, and a black beanie
