APD asks public for help identifying home invasion robbery suspect
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a home invasion robbery suspect.
The incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. in the700 block of West Longspur Boulevard on May 22.
Police say the suspect kicked in the door of an apartment in which the occupants were asleep in their bedrooms.
One of the occupants woke up a man in her bedroom. Police say the suspect threatened her and demanded valuables before leaving the scene.
No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as follows:
- Hispanic male
- 30s
- 5’9”
- 260 lbs, stocky build
- Spoke English and Spanish
- Wearing a black hoodie possibly a Carhartt beanie
- Light pants
- White shoes
