APD identifies victim killed during shooting at Domain

The Austin Police Department has identified the victim killed during a shooting at the Domain. 20-year-old Adam Shorter was shot and killed in the parking lot of Dick's Sporting Goods in the 3200 block of Kramer Lane on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. 

According to the Austin Police Department, first responders were called to the Domain shortly before 5 p.m. im regards to a shooting. When paramedics arrived on scene, Shorter was located and transported to the Round Rock Hospital with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

During their investigation, homicide detectives concluded the shooting occurred during an illegal drug transaction. Witnesses said two black males fled the scene after the shooting. 

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties with a medium build and a short afro with a fade on his sides. He was wearing an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his late twenties with a belly and braided, pulled back hair. The suspects were last seen in what is believed to be a red Saturn. 

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and ruled the cause of death as gunshot wound and the manner of death a homicide.

Investigators do not believe there is threat to the public in regards to this incident.
