Austin Parks Foundation seeking volunteers for National Trails Day
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The Austin Parks Foundation is seeking volunteers for four open opportunities on National Trails Day.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to help with beautification and cleaning projects at The Veloway, Kendra Paige Park and Gus Garcia Park, as well as at the Indiangrass Wildlife Sanctuary on June 1 as part of National Trails Day.
Volunteers are asked to register online, bring their own water bottles and dress for the weather with closed-toed shoes. For the Veloway project, volunteers can bring their own tools, but no power tools will be permitted.
