Buda City Hall, public safety building to open to public with limited capacity

Buda City Hall and the Public Safety Building will be opening to the public next week with limited capacity.

The buildings will open on Monday, May 18, but phone and online communication are still encouraged. Those visiting the buildings are highly encouraged to wear masks. The city says employees will be following strict social distancing practices and wearing masks or face coverings to provide protection for coworkers and the public.

There will be no rental of public spaces and the buildings will be disinfected daily. Anyone who is sick is advised to stay home.

The Buda Public Library and Visitor's Center both remain closed to the public. The library is currently providing curbside service on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon and from 3-5 p.m. Those wanting to reserve items for pickup can go online to find out how. Those with questions for the Visitor's Center can call 512-295-7170.

City-sponsored meetings will resume with strict social distancing practices in place, says the city, and room capacity for city council and board and commission meetings will be capped at 25 percent. Residents can watch City Council meetings online here.

Utility billing and municipal court payments can be paid online here or online through your bank, over the phone at 512-295-8845, and by mail to 405 E. Loop St., Building 100, Buda, Texas. Customers can also utilize the utility payment drop boxes at the front entrance of the building and near the library book drop. Residents can communicate with utilities  through this email.
