HUTTO, Texas - Several Central Texas men were arrested after a child exploitation operation was conducted by law enforcement.
Men arrested in child exploitation operation
The backstory:
Hutto police said on August 22–23, the department conducted a multi-agency child exploitation operation that focused on finding and arresting adults suspected of using online platforms for illegal sexual activity involving children.
The operation focused on suspects believed to be seeking sexual contact with children under the age of 15.
Six men were arrested as a result of the operation.
- A 55-year-old Scott MacNutt, of Georgetown, was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
- A 28-year-old Victor Villa Ramirez, of Pflugerville, was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
- A 37-year-old Aaron Menard, of Hutto, was arrested for Attempted Sexual Performance by a Child.
- A 29-year-old Calvin Austin, of Round Rock, was arrested for Attempted Sexual Performance by a Child.
- A 43-year-old Farshad Engameh, of Leander, was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
- A 34-year-old Jesus Soria, of Round Rock, was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
The investigation remains ongoing. The charges may be amended, enhanced, or additional charges may be filed as further evidence is reviewed.
