Four fire departments respond to large Lake Travis structure fire
LAKE TRAVIS, Texas - An investigation is currently underway in the Hudson Bend area of Western Travis county after a three-alarm fire erupted on Sunday afternoon.
Lake Travis Fire and Rescue officials say a total of four departments were called out to help put out the flames.
Calls came in around noon of a large complex that had caught on fire near Eck Lane and Doss Road. When crews arrived on scene they found the complex engulfed in flames.
Officials said that wind helped the fire spread and it almost caught the nearby "Vintage Villas" Event Center on fire as well.
While the investigation continues, Lake Travis Fire and Rescue is asking that only residents in the area use Eck Lane and to avoid the road if possible.
"We are still investigating the cause of this fire. There's been a couple discussions it could be this or it could be that. We don't rule anything out until we can actually get in there and start the investigation process," said Fire Chief Robert Abbott.
Fire crews remain on scene checking for hot spots. There were no reported injuries.
