FOX-7 Discussion: State Legislature Continually Pushes Back Against Austin's Ordinances

It's no secret, that Austin has a more progressive approach to legislation than most of Texas.

The city often gets pushback from the Texas legislature on ordinances it passes.

There's a chance we will run into a similar situation with the paid sick leave ordinance.

FOX-7 Austin’s Rebecca Thomas talks to Travis County GOP chairman Matt Mackowiak and, Ed Espinoza from Progress Texas about pushback on the paid sick leave ordinance and why the state continuously goes after Austin’s ordinances.
