Man suspected of dealing cocaine in WilCo arrested, charged: WCSO

Juan Reza

A man was arrested and charged with dealing cocaine in Williamson County.

What we know:

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, on Feb. 9, deputies responded to a home in the 800 block of CR 307 in Jarrell. When they arrived, they arrested Juan Reza on the charge of manufacture and delivery of cocaine, 4–200 grams.

Reza's arrest was after an ongoing investigation into suspected drug dealing in Williamson County. Detectives said the home connected to the investigation was within 100 feet of an elementary school.

"Illegal narcotics activity in such proximity to a school poses a serious threat to children, families, and school staff. Drug trafficking operations are often associated with violence, weapons, and increased criminal activity, all of which place young students at heightened risk. The presence of controlled substances and firearms near an elementary campus creates a dangerous environment that law enforcement works diligently to prevent," the WCSO said in the press release.

When Reza was arrested, he had multiple guns in his possession, including a stolen shotgun.

It was also determined that Reza was not a U.S. citizen. As a result of his arrest, ICE placed an immigration detainer on him.

Reza is being held in the Williamson County Jail.

What they're saying:

"This arrest reflects our continued commitment to disrupting organized criminal activity and protecting the safety of our residents," said Williamson County Sheriff Matt Lindemann. "We will continue working with our local, state, and federal partners to hold offenders accountable."
