MANOR, Texas - The Manor Police Department is asking the public to keep an eye out for a woman who's reportedly been stealing packages from front porches.
Manor PD posted photos of the woman and a car seen driving her around on their Facebook page.
While police say they have yet to receive any official reports of thefts, they are asking anyone who has had a package stolen to contact dispatch at 512-974-0845.
Residents are also asked to keep an eye out for their or their neighbor's packages as thefts are always on the rise around the holidays, according to Manor PD.
Anyone with video pertaining to this case is asked to contact Manor PD by calling 512-272-8177 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
As of Sept. 1, it is now a state-jail felony to steal packages delivered to someone's front door.
In May, Gov. Greg Abbott signed off on HB 37, which makes it a state jail felony if the mail is appropriated from fewer than 10 addresses, a third-degree felony if it's appropriated from 10 to 20 addresses, second-degree felony if it's between 20 and 50, and first-degree if it's appropriated from 50 or more addresses.
