Missing elderly woman found safe
UPDATE: Mordell Allen has been located and is safe.
Mordell Allen, who has been missing since Tuesday, was spotted in Austin on Friday at the CVS on South Congress around 10 a.m., Austin police reported.
She was previously spotted at a motel on Highway 290 and I-35 on Dec. 5, 2017 and at a Walmart located at 1030 Norwood Park Blvd on Dec. 7, 2017.
Bastrop County Sheriff's Office said she checked out of the Walmart with several items indicating she may be outside, as well as with a white laundry basket.
The 68-year-old has been missing since Tuesday night from her home on Texas Oak Drive. Bastrop County Sheriff's Office describes her as a black female, about 5'0'' and 127 pounds. She was last seen in blue jeans, a white cotton jacket and black shoes. Allen always carries a blue duffel bag and black purse.
Police say she has dementia and has wandered from her home before. Officials say Allen has other medical conditions as well.
