Officer fires at suspect after vehicle accelerates toward crime scene
DALLAS - Dallas police said one officer opened fire at a vehicle that began approaching and accelerating towards an officer early Saturday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., two officers were working to secure a crime scene from a previous incident in the 2500 block of Vernon Ave.
That is when they noticed a vehicle approach and accelerate towards an officer, and one of the officers fired his weapon at the suspect's vehicle.
No officers were hurt during the incident, and police said the suspect and vehicle involved have not been found.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
