Person seen hanging off branch at Waller Creek rescued

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin Fire and Austin-Travis County EMS rescued a person who was hanging off a branch in Waller Creek Thursday afternoon.

AFD reported a water rescue downtown near the intersection of Seventh and Sabine Streets around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

The victim was rescued from the water and is being transferred to ATCEMS for care.

No other information was released.
