SWAT on scene at South Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Texas - Officials say that Austin police SWAT was on hand for an incident at a South Austin apartment complex.

The incident happened at a complex located on South 1st Street near Slaughter Lane.

The Travis County Precinct 2 Constables Office tells FOX 7 Austin that it and the Travis County Precinct 3 Constables Office were conducting an operation and that APD SWAT was supporting them.

The operation involved renters and property being removed from an apartment.

Officials say this had been in the works for several weeks and that SWAT was on hand to ensure a smooth process.
