AUSTIN, Texas - Looking for some fun ways to spend the weekend?
How about a Hill Country festival and concert in the park or a museum fun day or a local Pride celebration?

Lavender Festival: June 9-11
It’s lavender season in the Hill Country and Blanco is celebrating with its annual Lavender Festival, Friday through Sunday.
Shop local Hill Country vendors and artists at the lavender market on the grounds of the Blanco County Courthouse.
Then head inside to listen in on featured speakers talking about growing and using lavender, general horticulture, and geology.
There’s also lots of live music to enjoy and plenty of food, wine and beer.
You can also visit Texas’ first commercial lavender farm, where you can see the fields in bloom and check out their specialty products.

‘Showtime in the Park’: June 9
Impact Arts presents ‘Showtime in the Park,’ Friday, from 5 to 9:30 p.m., at Pease Park.
Attendees can enjoy a sneak peek of Summer Stock’s upcoming season with live performances from ‘Grease’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
At sundown, there’s a double feature screening of 2 of Summer Stock’s original movie musicals.
There are also lots of fun family-friendly activities, giveaways, games and snacks.
Admission is free.
‘From Stage to Screen’: June 9 & 10
Zilker Hillside Theater hosts the Austin Civic Orchestra’s concert, ‘From Stage to Screen.’
It's going on Friday and Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. and features music that transitioned from the stage to the movies.
Guests are invited to bring blankets or low chairs.
Admission is free.
Second Saturdays: June 10
Spend the day at the Blanton Museum of Art for its Second Saturdays.
June 10, from 3 to 8 p.m., you can hang out on the museum’s new moody patio, enjoy live DJ sets, and check out the redesigned grounds and galleries.
Pack your own picnic or purchase local food and drinks onsite.
Admission is $20 for adults 18 and older, $10 for children 6 through 17, and free for those 5 and younger.

Pflugerville Pride: June 10
The 2nd annual Pflugerville Pride is going on Saturday, from 3 to 8 p.m. in downtown Pflugerville.
This year’s event features two outdoor stages and two indoor venues with live entertainment.
Enjoy food from more than 10 food trucks and tents, vendors, an art showcase, silent auction, and a family pfun zone, with bouncers, face painting, games, and arts and crafts.
