Two found shot inside apartment died in apparent murder-suicide

AUSTIN, Texas - Officials say that two people who were found shot inside an apartment died in an apparent murder-suicide.

On November 4 Austin 9-1-1 got a call at just after 8 p.m. about two people shot inside an apartment at 2018 W. Rundberg Lane.

Officers and Austin-Travis County EMS arrived and found 23-year-old Amira Mahler and 28-year-old Travis Ford. Both were prounounced dead at the scene at around 8:18 p.m.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office conducted autopsies and Ford's death was ruled a suicide while Mahler's was ruled a homicide.

Invesitgators believe it was a result of domestic violence based on preliminary findings.
