SWAT teams from Florida, New York, and Texas taking part in UAE SWAT Challenge 2026

Police agencies from around the world will once again showcase their tactical skills at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Challenge hosted by the Dubai Police.

This year’s challenge features 114 teams from 48 countries, including the Orlando Police Department SWAT team, New York Police Department Emergency Service Unit, San Antonio Police Department, and the Dallas Police Department SWAT.

The challenge, now in its seventh year, will take place Feb. 7–11 at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.

Over the five days of competition, the teams will compete in specialized tasks, including a tactical challenge, assault challenge, officer rescue, high tower, and an obstacle course.    The events aim to foster the exchange of expertise among tactical units from around the world, showcase best practices in rapid response operations, and measure readiness and efficiency in handling complex operational scenarios.

The UAE SWAT Challenge says a total of $260,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top 10 teams recognizing their strength, skill, and strategy.
