WilCo Sheriff's Office and FBI dig in Georgetown field as part of past criminal investigation
GEORGETOWN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Williamson County officials and the FBI were digging in a Georgetown field earlier Monday.
Officials are digging in a field located alongside SH 130 and Hwy 971.
According to investigators they received a tip related to a past criminal case. Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted that the activity is a joint investigation of a past criminal case, and that the public is not in danger.
WilCo would not comment further on the investigation.
