Winner announced for Big Tex boot design contest

DALLAS - Fans of the State Fair of Texas got a chance to pick the design for Big Tex’s new pair of boots.

After narrowing down the more than 250 entries to 10 finalists, online voters picked their favorite design.

The Texas-centric design by Katie Sauceda, of Keller, was chosen as the winner of the design Big Tex's boot contest.

She will now get to work with the State Fair of Texas and Lucchese to bring the design to life for Big Tex's size 96 boots.
