Woman killed after being hit by car on North Lamar

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A woman was struck by a vehicle in North Austin on Thursday.

According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, first responders were dispatched to the 8100 block of North Lamar Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. on February 21. When first responders arrived on scene, they found an adult female who had been struck by a vehicle and attempted CPR.

The woman died at the scene, according to ATCEMS.

Drivers should expect closures and first responders to be in the area while they investigate.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
