Vitamin D deficiency in children is not as uncommon as you think. In 2016, American Academy of Pediatrics found nearly eight million young people from ages one to 21 were vitamin D deficient and an additional 61% had insufficient levels of vitamin D in the blood. Dr. Kumar has more details.
