AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Emily Madden with H-E-B Cooking Connection shares a recipe that's a twist on an Asian classic and perfect for tailgates.
The recipe is as follows:
1 cup cooked chicken, diced small
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 green onions sliced
1/4 cup Ernest Hemmingway The Bull Hot Sauce
Oil for frying
In a bowl combine chicken, cream cheese, green onions, and hot sauce. Combine well.
Place a small spoonful of the mixture in the center of the wonton wrapper.
Use your finger and wet the edges with water.
Pinch opposite corners together and press the edges together.
Using a fryer or dutch oven, heat oil to 375°.
Once oil is hot, fry a few wontons at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the fryer.
Fry for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown.
Place on a paper towel lined plate to drain.
Serve with ranch and more The Bull Hot Sauce.
