Advent calendars with wine and cheese
NEW YORK (FOX5NY.COM) - Many kids love the annual tradition of counting down the days to Christmas with an Advent calendar, especially one with a candy or chocolate for each day.
Grown-ups can get in on the fun, too, but with adult treats in the form of wine or cheese.
The Germany-based ALDI grocery store chain will soon start selling its Wine Advent Calendar as well as the Cheese Advent Calendar in the United States.
The wine calendar sells for $70 and features 24 mini-bottles of a red blend, shiraz, malbec, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, and more. You can get it at ALDI locations that sell wine.
The cheese calendar retails for $13 and showcases two dozen imported mini cheeses, including cheddar, gouda, edam, havarti, and many more.
The calendars go on sale November 7.
