APD finds truck from possible attempted kidnapping

The Austin Police Department has located the truck involved in the possible attempted kidnapping earlier this week. The truck was unoccupied when officers found it. 

According to police, officers were called to the 1700 block of Rutland Drive around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 for a possible kidnapping. Witnesses described seeing a Hispanic male force a Hispanic female into a truck.

The truck left the scene at a high rate of speed. It was last seen traveling westbound on Rutland.

 

 

Detectives are continuing to investigate this case. The Hispanic male suspect is estimated to be in his 20’s. The victim is described as a young Hispanic female with long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants with white stripes down the legs and white shoes
