About 50 students from Austin Can Academy got free eye exams and glasses. It was courtesy of the Essilor Vision Foundation's Mobile Optometry Clinic.
The program is called Kids Vision For Life and it partners with schools and communities to provide mobile vision services to children in need.
A bus traveling with an optometrist provides complete vision exams. It also house a lab equipped to make prescription glasses.
So far nearly 180 students from the Austin Can Academy have received free screenings and free glasses through the program.
