Fatal shooting near gas station in East Austin

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, a male victim has died from a gunshot wound at a local gas station. This happened Saturday afternoon at the Exxon located on the corner of Loyola Lane and Decker Lane.

 

According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the victim was a passenger in a red sedan that was driving on Decker Lane. When the victim was shot, the driver of the sedan pulled over at the Exxon station to get help. When deputies arrived on scene they performed CPR. The Austin Fire Department also continued with life-saving efforts once they arrived on scene.

They were not successful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at the gas station. 

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says they do not have a suspect in custody at this time and that they are asking for the public's help to find the person responsible. If you have any information, call CRIME STOPPERS.

The male victim is reported to be in his twenties or thirties. No other information was provided at this time.
