FEMA job fair in Austin
FEMA is hosting a job fair in Austin for Texans who want to work on Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery.
More than 300 jobs are available with pay ranging from $14 an hour to $37 an hour. FEMA says bring your resume as well as a valid driver's license and social security card or passport and prepare to be interviewed.
The job fair is 10/28 and 10/29 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1309 Rutherford Lane in North Austin.
FEMA says it's looking for a pretty broad spectrum of talent and skills like sign language interpreters, bookeepers, accountants, auditing clerks, civil engineers, couriers, customer support representatives, graphic designers, writers and more.
All the jobs are temporary full time postitions.
FEMA says the main goal is just help get areas hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey rebuild and get back on their feet.
Applicants will still need to pass a background check.
