Former Collin County teacher accused of improper relationship with student

A former teacher for Community ISD in Collin County has been arrested on charges that he had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Alberto Alcivar, 53, has been charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact.

He was a bilingual teacher at McClendon Elementary from August 2014 to June 2018.

Police began investigating Alcivar after a student contacted police on Jan. 26 and reported inappropriate sexual contact by a former Community ISD teacher.

The investigation led police to arrest Alcivar Friday morning.
