Former deputy constable charged in sexual assault cases

A former Harris County Precinct 6 deputy constable has been arrested and charged in two separate sexual assault cases dating back to January.

Brandin M. Glispy, 30, is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted sexual assault.

Glispy was assigned to a Houston Housing Authority apartment complex and is believed to have had contact with more than one woman, according to a statement from the Houston Police Department.

One incident was reported on Jan. 6 in which Glispy met and spoke with a female inside the apartment complex leasing office. He later encountered that woman at a nearby restaurant while still in full uniform. Police say she was not aware Glispy was waiting in the restroom and when she entered, he attempted to sexually assault her, but she was able to run away.

While still employed as a deputy constable, police say Glispy conducted a traffic stop in a marked Precinct 6 patrol vehicle in the on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Griggs Road on April 24. The female whose vehicle he stopped was directed to drive to a secluded parking lot where she was sexually assaulted. After the female left, she contacted 911 and reported the incident to police.

Investigators identified Glispy as a suspect in the April 24 case and charged him. After he was charged, he was terminated from the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable's Office.

Investigators say there may be other victims and are seeking help from anyone with information about Glispy or who may have had contact with him. They are encouraged to contact the HPD Homicide Special Investigative Unit by phone at 713-308-3600.
