FOX 7 Discussion: Texas Senate Bill 22
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Today, the Texas Senate approved Senate Bill 22, which would prohibit deals between abortion providers and state or local governments.
The bill moved out of the committee yesterday and now it moves on to the house.
One of the authoers of the bill, Senator (R) Donna Campbell posted on Twitter that. "Abortion providers unnaturally end the lives of almost 60,000 of our most vulnerable Texans every year. That fact alone should make them ineligible to receive tax dollars. I'm proud of the 20 colleagues who joined me in helping pass SB 22 today!"
Here to talk about this in the FOX 7 Austin studio with Rebecca Thomas is Alison Alter with the Austin City Council and Travis County GOP Communications Director Andy Hogue.
