Gator eats python in Florida Everglades

MIAMI, Fla. (FOX 13) - A Florida man captured a Florida moment on video playing out in front of him in South Florida. 

Rich Kruger was in Everglades National Park in Miami-Dade County when he spotted the alligator chomping down on a python in the water Monday. 

He said the python appeared to be more than 10-feet-long. "Best video so far," he posted on Facebook. 

Pythons are invasive to Florida and are dangerous to the Everglades' ecosystem and native wildlife.
