H-E-B hiring short-term store hourly positions

H-E-B has announced it is hiring short-term hourly store positions at locations across Texas to meet up with the increased traffic most stores have seen during the coronavirus pandemic.

The grocery chain has already shortened its hours and reduced some of its department services to better serve customers.

In a post on the H-E-B Careers Twitter account, H-E-B says it's hoping to hire people so that "customers can get what they need for their families while receiving the excellent customer service they are accustomed to."

The rate of pay for the roles the grocery chain is looking to fill is as follows:

  • Customer Service Assistant (Bagger) - $9.50/hour
  • Cashier - $13.50/hour
  • Daytime Stocker - $13.50/hour
  • Overnight Stocker - $15.00/hour (Although hours vary with store needs, typical hours for overnight are 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
