Homicide in San Marcos being investigated
The San Marcos Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Monday morning.
Police responded to the 2000 block of Hunter Road around 2:17 a.m. When police arrived on scene they discovered 31-year-old Robert Lee Casteneda face down and unresponsive. Police say he had multiple gunshot wounds on his torso and arm. He was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation is currently ongoing. San Marcos police say this is the fourth homicide this year in the city.
