Teens to face charges over car theft, Kyle police say
KYLE, Texas - Four teenagers were detained in Kyle early Monday morning after they were found in a stolen car.

The Kyle Police Department was notified by the Austin Police Department early Monday morning that the owner of a stolen vehicle tracked their car to a gas station in Kyle.
Kyle police located the vehicle, which then tried to flee.
Police say the vehicle lost control and came to a stop.
Four teens were detained at the scene.
The driver was a 14-year-old male. Two 15-year-old females and 17-year-old Edwin Serna of Kyle were also in the car.
The driver was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, evading arrest in a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Serna was charged with organized criminal activity and had warrants for other vehicle burglaries.
What we don't know:
Kyle police did not say if the two 15-year-olds would face charges.
Police did not give further details about the other vehicle burglaries.

"We take these incidents very seriously, especially when underaged and inexperienced drivers are involved. Their actions not only put other people’s property at risk but also endanger the safety of everyone on the road. Our officers responded quickly to ensure the suspects were apprehended safely and without further incident," said Kyle Police Chief, Jeff Barnett in a statement. "We encourage our residents to remain vigilant by removing valuables from their vehicles and locking their doors to help prevent these types of crimes in our community."
