Major repair work being done on Richard Overton's home
Richard Overton, America's oldest living war veteran, is receiving some major home repairs. Overton has lived at his home in East Austin since 1948.
Overton prides himself on living independently but after almost 70 years the home needs some work. So Meals on Wheels Central Texas stepped in.
The work will take about two weeks to complete and during that time Overton will be living offsite.
Overton celebrated his 111th birthday in May.
