Man prompts SWAT situation in Leander two days in a row

For the second day in a row, a man was at the center of a SWAT situation in Leander.

Leander Police said a SWAT team was called to the 500 block of Emma Rose Trail early Friday morning.

Police said they tried to serve a search warrant to 27-year-old Brennon Lawrence for Deadly Conduct, but he barricaded himself inside a home.

Earlier this week, Lawrence was accused of shooting at a neighbor during a dispute near the intersection of Emma Rose Trail and Mason Street, according to police.

Officers said no one was injured in that incident.

The SWAT team deployed gas inside the home Friday morning, and Lawrence surrendered to police.

He was transported to the Williamson County Jail.
