Marble Falls officer killed on his way to work

MARBLE FALLS, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - An officer with the Marble Falls Police Department was killed on his way to work early Friday morning. Officer Andrew Howe was involved in a motorcycle crash, according to police. 

An investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Officer Howe joined the Marble Falls Police Department in June of 2017, and served as a member of the Richardson Police Department for ten years prior to that. The department is asking that the public keep Officer Howe's family in their thoughts during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are currently being made and will be announced at a later date.
