Missing Austin girls back home
The Austin Police Department says that two girls who reported missing Monday have now returned home.
13-year-old Mariah Cardenas and her sister eight-year-old Savanah Frausto were last seen on June 2.
APD reported that Savanah returned home late last night and is safe and Mariah is home and safe Tuesday.
The incident was reported to police on June 3. The girls were last seen in the 10100 block of Brownie Drive.
Police say the initial investigation is that Mariah ran away from home and took her sister with her.
