Overnight SWAT standoff in East Austin ends
An overnight SWAT standoff in East Austin has ended after several hours.
Police say they got a 9-1-1 call just after 5:30 p.m. from a woman who said that two people were trying to shoot her in front of a gas station on East Cesar Chavez.
The woman was not hurt and the two suspects drove away from the gas station.
Officers found the suspects' empty vehicle in a neighborhood on East 4th Street. They say evidence led them to believe the suspects were barricaded in a nearby house so SWAT was called out.
Samuel Sepeda was arrested and charged Tuesday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony. Police say Sepeda surrendered at the scene and the SWAT team never entered the home.
Police are still searching for the other suspect.
