Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle in North Austin: ATCEMS

AUSTIN, Texas - A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in North Austin, officials said. 

What we know:

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, on April 1, around 2:27 p.m., first responders responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle at 9523 N Lamar Blvd.

When ATCEMS arrived, they found the victim. The pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the scene. 

Drivers should avoid the area if possible or expect delays.
