Police investigate string of vehicle burglaries and make arrests
HAYS COUNTY, Texas - The Hays County Sheriff’s Office reported that a string of vehicle burglaries have led to the recovery of more than $20,000 in property.
According to police the burglaries occurred on Sept. 25 and 26 in the Dripping Springs area. The incident involved multiple vehicles being burglarized in several locations.
A vehicle from a local business was also stolen and used to smash through fences at two different locations police said.
Police executed a search warrant at the 200 block of Barton Bend Road in Dripping Springs police said.
They conducted a two day search of a number of locations and recovered more than $20,000 in stolen property including vehicles said police.
Over the course of the investigation police arrested James Boyd, 32, John Michael Lemmons, 35, Jeremy D. Petmecky, 35, Nathanael Goodson, 32, Kristen E. Kelly, 31, Tori L. Halenza, 20, Rojer D. Martinez, 23, and Troy Barnes, 55, at numerous locations in Dripping Springs police said.
The Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may have surveillance cameras to check their
video between Sept. 25th and 27th for any suspicious activity.
The targeted areas that were burglarized during this time included U.S. 290, RR 12 and Fitzhugh Road.
Police said the suspect’s vehicles included a silver hatchback, a black SUV and a silver single cab pickup.
