Police search for suspect in bank robbery

Austin police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon. 

The Austin Police Department says a call came in around 12:13 p.m. about a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 500 block of E. Ben White Boulevard. The suspect reportedly demanded money and left the scene in a white Ford Expedition with an undisclosed amount. 

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early to mid thirties. He has light brown hair with a goatee and is about 6 feet and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a burnt orange University of Texas ball cap, long sleeve blue shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots. 

Police say it isn't known if he was armed. There were no injuries in the incident.
